Our team went to Tagaytay and Caleruega last Saturday. I’ve been to Tagaytay several times but this would be my 2nd time to visit Caleruega. I wasn’t able to enjoy it the first time because I was with my baby (Nicole) and I carried her the whole time since she was sleeping in the middle of the sun’s heat!

Caleruega has been a favorite wedding venue for most brides because of its spectacular view! Slots are selling hot as pancakes! Some say, you need to reserve at least 1-2 yrs. before your wedding date just to get a slot! We actually considered this as our wedding venue but we found it not feasible due to its location.
Caleruega is a house of prayer and renewal. It is open to activities like retreats, recollections, prayer, and renewal workshop, study, research, youth camps, marriage and family encounter celebrations, skills training, leadership seminars, art, music, and liturgy workshops, and environment and agriculture-related activities.

The station of the cross from the entrance leads you the way to this hanging bridge. Actually, I hate hanging bridges because I still haven’t overcome my fear of heights!

If you still have the energy after trailing down the station of the cross, try climbing the top of this mountain and see yourself on the other side of the church. I would like to commend my friend macappleboy for his great endurance in hiking Caleruega! How many pounds did you lose that day?!

- Hiking after the hanging bridge
With Php 30 entrance fee, you get to reflect, commune with God and admire His artwork!
