Bicol Day 1: Small Talk Cafe, Legazpi, Albay

After an 11 hr. drive from Manila, we finally reached Legazpi, Albay! Since it’s already 12:50pm, we headed straight to Small Talk Cafe to take our lunch. I found this resto in one of my google searches and their Laing pasta caught my interest to try it!

They’re famous for serving pasta with a local twist! The entrance is quite small but they have a spacious dining space. The only problem is the parking if there are a lot of diners.

Disclaimer: These  pasta dishes are only good for one. Not advisable to order if you’re really hungry! ;)

Pasta Pinangat / Laing - Taro leaves and “gata” blended in white sauce and mixed with pasta.

My hubby is a big fan of Laing and pasta so eating this is heaven for him! :D

Pasta Pinangat / Laing

Bicol Express Pasta – Alamang, sili and gata sauteed in garlic and pasta.

I so love Bicol Express so this one’s mine. It’s their version of spaghetti Al oglio but I like it more if they’ll add more meat.

Pasta Mayon – Pinangat / laing stuffed in ravioli pasta with red tuna sauce.

Their version of ravioli. Sorry, don’t like tuna sauce.

Pasta Mayon

Pili Basil Pasta - It’s their version of Pesto. Made from garlic, mashed pili and fresh basil blended with pasta.

YUMMY!

Pili Basil Pasta

Our Very Own Spaghetti - Sweet and very cheesy. Simply Filipino’s favorite!

Our Very Own Spaghetti

Bicolana – Pinangat (laing), pineapple chunks, mushroom, mozarella

It’s a hawaiian pizza with laing! :)

Bicolana

Price: Their prices are quite reasonable for their serving size.  Our total bill is just Php 875 including drinks.
