It’s been months since we last went to Manila Ocean Park. My hubby saw some seals being featured in one of the morning shows in the tube and we’re hoping to see them for real since Nicole haven’t seen any seals yet. We were actually disappointed because we didn’t see them and the musical fountain starts at 7pm! According to the guard on duty, the seals will be open to the public on August 2010.We went there before lunch and when I asked the lady behind the cashier, the only one open is the Oceanarium!

After going through one of the difficult chapters of my life, my hubby treated me with date! We spent the whole Saturday together and for the first time, we watched 2 movies in a row (Shrek The Final Chapter and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time). I can’t miss watching Shrek on the big screen because it’s one of my favorites! It’s not as funny as the 1st one but it still gave me a good laugh!
I’m not familiar with the story behind Prince of Persia. What I know is it is a game played by my brother in his PSP and a movie packed with adventure!
We know that all of us will eventually cross the great divide. Would you rather stay in a 1M casket or a pink one? We took these photos from St. Peter while we were asked to choose a casket for my mom. I can’t believe there are actually people who buys these caskets! And mind you, they paid in cold cash! The attending says that the 1M casket is made of pure bronze that’s why it is priced that way.
Take your pick!
After Nicole’s afternoon nap, we went to check out SM’s Sky Garden Safari Adventure last Sunday. There were only fewpictures because there were a lot of people and Nicole was scared of the other animals (like the elephant). Aside from the fact that we have to bear the afternoon heat!!
After buying my hubby’s The Northface’s Horizon Breeze Brimmer hat, we took our early dinner at Las Paellas cafe at the Annex. We ordered mushroom soup (superb!), pochero (generous serving of tender beef) and tortang talong stuffed with galunggong (nothing special). This spanish inspired restaurant is a cheaper version of Dulcinea. Unfortunately, they ran out of churros and we were too hungry to wait for their paella! We’ll definitely come back and try those next time!
Now that election time is over, I hope they will also clean our streets. We took this picture last May 9 when we passed by the school behind LTO. This place is a disaster! This is supposed to be a sidewalk for students but instead, it became a scrap area. Bet you didn’t notice the sidewalk!

Bag of Beans
After buying our pasalubong from Rowena’s we stopped by Bag of Beans to relax and hang out. This coffee shop and bakery has been in Tagaytay for quite some time but it was just last Saturday that I’ve been to this place! It may look like a small coffee shop from the outside (like only 10 people can fit in) but once you enter, you’ll find yourself mesmerized with their garden and wonder how did they put the cabanas inside!

At the entrance
Since we just want to experience the site, we ordered for banana nut frappe, black forest frappe and a caramel macchiato to soothe my tonsils! LOL Aside from these, they also serve cakes, pies, soup, pasta and main courses like roast beef and chicken ala kiev. I’ve read from several blog sites that they were serving coffee alamid but this post says otherwise. True enough, they are no longer serving this civet dung!
But don’t worry, for those of you who are looking for this, its also available at Rowena’s.

Our team went to Tagaytay and Caleruega last Saturday. I’ve been to Tagaytay several times but this would be my 2nd time to visit Caleruega. I wasn’t able to enjoy it the first time because I was with my baby (Nicole) and I carried her the whole time since she was sleeping in the middle of the sun’s heat!

Caleruega has been a favorite wedding venue for most brides because of its spectacular view! Slots are selling hot as pancakes! Some say, you need to reserve at least 1-2 yrs. before your wedding date just to get a slot! We actually considered this as our wedding venue but we found it not feasible due to its location. We had the chance to go diving again last weekend! This time, we stayed in Diver’s Santuary at Bauan, Batangas. Their room is just small, simple, clean and has the basic toiletries (towels, soap, shampoo and tissue).

The resort only has 4 small rooms but they have newly built rooms good for a family. I didn’t get the chance to view how it looks like from the inside so I don’t have any pictures.
A view from Diver’s Santuary is Ligpo Island, an island hotel and resort. I’ve read fromthis multiply site that the family owners are selling it but not sure if it’s already sold.
You’ll get the following for Php 3900:
- overnight accomodation
- 4 sets of meals (breakfast, (2) lunch, dinner, (2) merienda)
- unlimited diving (including tanks)

There are 3 huts in front of the rooms where you could just sit back and relax after a tiring dive and watch the majestic sunset!

Ever since my mom has been hospitalized, I learned to look for cheap medical supplies and medicines around the Metro. Where can you find the cheapest and most affordable medical stuff??!! Where else, but Bambang!
They have anything medical here! From cotton balls to hospital beds! You name it, they have it!
I often go to these stores to get my mom’s supplies:
AVM Medical Supplies : 1428 Rizal Ave. Sta. Cruz, Manila
Medisense Optium Glucose strips – Php 1250
Terumo Insulin syringe (1cc / ml) – Php 600 / box (100 pcs.)
underpads – Php 140 (10 pcs.)
Adult diapers (L) – Php 160
cotton balls (300 pcs.) – Php 35
HIROSE Medical Supplies: 1483 Rizal Ave. cor. Alvarez Sta. Cruz, Manila

How to go to Bambang:
From Monumento: Take the LRT Line 1 then drop off to Bambang station
From Cubao: Take LRT Line 2, drop to Recto. Follow the walk way going to LRT Line 1 (Doroteo Jose station)
Take LRT Line 1, drop off to Bambang station or take any jeepney from Doroteo Jose station and you’ll see a lot of medical stores along the way.
