Las Paellas Cafe, SM North

Las Paellas is a Spanish – Asian inspired restaurant founded by Mr. Ramon Del Gallego Jr. and was established on August 1997.

This is actually our 2nd time to visit this resto. Since Churros was unavailable the first time, we ordered it this time for Nicole. There’s nothing fancy about their churros. It was really not what I was expecting because I want my churros hot! They actually served it last when I asked for it. Not great customer service. It’s just probably because they  have 21 guests waiting outside making a reservation.

If it’s not because of their scrumptious Beef Caldereta, my hubby and I would be in a bad mood already. I’ll give this dish a 10 out of 10! This may be biased because Caldereta is my all time favorite food! The beef is so tender and the sauce is not too strong, just right!

My hubby is such a fan of laing so he makes it a point to taste it  in every resto who serves this dish. Las Paellas version is stuffed with ground pork. I really can’t describe it but there’s this certain after taste that I don’t like. I didn’t even took another bite! NOT so recommended…

I guess we just arrived at the wrong time… We’ll definitely order in advance next time to try out their Paella! :)

After Nicole’s afternoon nap, we went to check out SM’s Sky Garden  Safari Adventure last Sunday. There were only  fewpictures because there were a lot of people and Nicole was scared of the other animals (like the elephant). Aside from the fact that we have to bear the afternoon heat!!

After buying my hubby’s The Northface’s Horizon Breeze Brimmer hat, we took our early dinner at Las Paellas cafe at the Annex. We ordered mushroom soup (superb!), pochero  (generous serving of tender beef) and tortang talong stuffed with galunggong (nothing special). This spanish inspired restaurant is a cheaper version of Dulcinea. Unfortunately, they ran out of churros and we were too hungry to wait for their paella! We’ll definitely come back and try those next time!
